Performing live at The Victory Show 20th Anniversary evening Dinner Dance on Saturday 30th August 2025!!!

Take a trip down memory lane and enjoy the period sounds of Paul Harper, whilst you indulge on a fantastic 4-course meal with a fully licensed bar and lots more entertainment!

Dress Code: To help create the 1940’s atmosphere, period costume, uniform or civilian is encouraged, if you can; otherwise, smart dress is politely requested.

• Tables / Tickets MUST be paid in full within 7 days of making your booking.
• Booking forms MUST be posted along with a Stamped Addressed Envelope (S.A.E.)
• Failure to do so, will result in your booking being released.
• A deposit will NOT be accepted.

Please arrive at 6.30pm for 7pm to avoid delays. Carriages at 12.30am

11th 40s-50s Hanger Dance 

The Sid Bolan Big Band return once again another exciting evening at our ’40s & ’50s Vulcan Hangar Dance.

The dance will take place in the Vulcan Restoration Trust’s hangar at London Southend Airport, known as Royal Air Force Rochford during the Second World War.

You can dance the night away beneath Vulcan XL426’s giant delta wings. The Sid Bolan 18-piece band will be playing a selection of dance hits from the wartime and post-war years. If you’re a beginner, or your dancing skills are in need of a refresh, the Air Raid Jive Dance School will start the evening with a 30 minute fun ‘tutorial’ so everyone can hone their dance moves for the evening to come!

The hangar doors will open at 6.00 pm and the Air Raid Jive Dance School will begin at 7.30 pm. The Sid Bolan Big Band will then join us at 8.00 pm and will play until 10.30 pm.

We encourage everyone attending to dress vintage to give the evening an authentic ’40s and ’50s ‘feel’. But please wrap-up as aircraft hangars aren’t the warmest of places – and it will be October!

There will be a licensed pay bar. Refreshments, including hot and cold food, will be on sale throughout the evening.
A selection of souvenirs will be on sale from our Hangar Shop.

Tickets are £20 with VRT Members entitled to reduced price admission of £16. Booking fees apply.

Sorry – no pets or animals (with the exception of assistance dogs) can be admitted to the event.
Ticket purchasers will be sent full details prior to the event.

12th Market Raisen Vintage Tea Dance

Festival Hall, Market Rasen

Please join us and have a great time dancing to wonderful vintage music while chatting to friends and - dare we say it - munching some cake if you'd like to bring some to enjoy.

We are being joined by the Bluestones Big Band - a fantastic Big Band who play all the swing numbers and Jazz Standards you love dancing to. 

So...

Why not dress up in your vintage best and join us for a fantastic afternoon of music for Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Jive, Balboa and social dances?

DJ Dr Swing will be playing his usual range of music from the 30s - 50s for your dancing pleasure and there should be something for everyone.

Free tea and coffee will be available, but we are asking guests to bring their own cups, saucers, tea pots etc. to save ourselves the washing up. You'll also need to bring any other refreshments you desire. We think that you could have fun dressing your table: bring a tablecloth, cake stand, flowers... The choice is yours and we will be providing prizes for the most impressive/imaginative etc. Get planning now, and we'll all enjoy the beautiful tables!
