Swing Dance Summertown are based in Oxford and are passionate about Swing Dancing. We provide classes throughout the year to learn Swing Dance styles such as The Lindy Hop & The Charleston.

In addition, we provide DJ Services and both Event Planning & Event Management Services for Vintage Dance Events.
Central to this is a collection of original vintage music from the 1920s, 30s and 40s which has been re-engineered from the original ’78rpm recordings. The process takes rare original tracks and cleans them using our own bespoke process and professional Audio software. This work has been played on BBC Radio and provides some of the cleanest examples you will ever hear of classic tracks without the over compressed ‘mud’ you often hear on mass produced Remasters. Each track is treated individually to produce the most perfect result possible, whilst preserving the original Shellac records.
American Jazz classics by the likes of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Chick Webb, Erskine Hawkins, Jimmie Lunceford, The Dorsey Brothers, Harry James, Benny Goodman, Lous Jordan, Buddy Johnson and many other greats of The Jazz Age. These are available for events to provide a soundtrack accompaniment that is authentic but also sounds as if it was recorded yesterday. It is perfect for vintage social dances
The effect makes you feel as if you have stepped back in time.
In addition Summertown also provide Dance Lessons & Classes and welcome enquiries from other Event Managers who wish to add Swing Dance to their list of attractions.
We can provide everything from Dance Displays and Taster Classes right the way through to an Intensive Weekend of Dance Classes from Beginner through to Intermediate & Advanced.
One popular requirement is to provide lessons and choreography for a Wedding Day ‘First Dance’. We work with each couple to find the perfect track and choreography to match.
Our Team offer experienced Compere services and Sound Systems suited to most size of events with several different rigs to choose from.

Welcome to Lincolnshire Lindy Hop Clubs,
formerly known as 52nd Street Jump. I teach Lindy Hop, the original jive dance, in classes in Aisby, Market Rasen and Alford, Lincolnshire.

Your fist steps can be mastered quickly and you’ll soon be enjoying the dance known by many in the 1940’s as Jitterbug.
