Lili Redman is a fan of old school vintage glamour and award-winning cabaret singer. Her first love was always old songs and so after training as an opera singer, she wandered from the path and tumbled headfirst into vintage songs. Led astray by the sparkling denizens of the cabaret demi-monde, she shed her classical cocoon and emerged like a war time songbird, bedecked in 40s tailoring and ready for a knees up round the piano. Something of a vintage song connoisseur, her repertoire spans the first half of the 20th century, her passion being the comedy songs of the 30s and 40s, the rarer the better! She breathes new life into many a Gracie Fields’ number and has a rather soft spot for Noel Coward and George Formby. She’ll have you hanging on her every crystal cut consonant. Her devastating voice and her fabulous wardrobe have won her fans worldwide. Lili has held London residences at The Rosewood Hotel, The Café Royal Hotel, The Café de Paris and Proud Cabaret to name but a few. She has also appeared at many festivals at home and further afield including Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe, Wilderness Festival, Hebden Bridge Burlesque Festival, Buxton Fringe, The World Buskers Festival (NZ), Lund Comedy Festival (SWE) As a compere, Lili has, expertly, been at the helm of many of the UK & Europe’s top variety and burlesque extravaganzas including The 100 Watt Club, The Black Cat Cabaret, The Wet Spot, Ooh La La, Cherie (Zurich), The Frou Frou Club, Cabaret Bizarre (Basel) and Burlesque Extravaganza (Lausanne). Lili likes to sing outside the box and is always on the hunt for the odd and unusual to add to her wide and incredibly varied repertoire.
