Experience the sights and sounds of the 1940's in our beautiful hall. Inside there's lots to see and do, with uniforms, information, displays, music and dance. Outside a vintage DJ, pre-1950 vintage cars, re-enactor displays , vehicles, military. But next year we're going bigger with vintage stalls and tented displays in the rear gardens.

The Acton Scott Heritage Farm will return you back to the wartime years will living history across the site, period entertainment,  interactive farming displays, military and vintage vehicles plus much more.

Held in 30 acres of land 10 miles north of Doncaster. Yorkshire Wartime provides an opportunity for us to begin to understand what it was like to live through and serve in the wars and conflicts of the 20th century. Visitors can witness battles re enacted in meticulous detail by respected living history groups, walk amongst "British Tommies" of the first world war "GI Joes" from the beaches of Normandy,the Womens land army of the Second world war to more recent conflicts. There will also be some of the largest and rarest military vehicles both on static display, and during the daily vehicle parades.

8/9th Telford Steam Railway’s 1940s Weekend

Steam trains! Ava Evergreen, The Ronnie Singers, The Blitz Dancers, Derek and Linda Herbert as Mr and Mrs Churchill, Alan Oliver as Field Marshall Montgomery, The Engine Shed Brewery Company  all appearing on both days. Vintage stalls, vintage vehicles, re-enactors, promenaders and much more. 1940s dance on Saturday 8th August. Probably the friendliest event of the year!

15th-16th Ramsey 1940s Weekend 

The Camp, Ramsey, Huntingdon PE26 2XB


The Camp was built as a searchlight battery unit in 1939. The Ramsey Camp Committee has taken on the role of restoring the buildings to maintain their 1940s features and putting on a 1940s weekend every year in August. All money raised is put straight back into the Camp and our wonderful volunteers put a lot of their time into helping to achieve this.

  Pack up your kit bag, and bring your family and friends together to enjoy a step back in time to the era dominated by World War II. 
Watch displays and re-enactors who will preserves and promotes the memory of those who volunteered during the conflict. 
Join in with a good old sing-song and boogie and show off your Lindy Hop or dance the Jitterbug or, if that sounds a bit too energetic, simply pull up a chair and enjoy a nice hot brew.
There will be plenty to keep the kids entertained, including arts and craft activities and the opportunity to hunt for the spy who will be hiding in the grounds!

19-20th Fort Paull Living History Weekend

The Fort Paull multi period living history events returns.  There will be living history groups from Roman to WWII taking you back in time.  There will be skirmishes, hand to hand combat and weapon displays across the weekend.  


There will also be period entertainment from WWI and WWII with traders selling period merchandise.   The event will open at 10.00am and close at 5.00pm
